Crime/Fraud

Callin Wild prides itself on being able to offer a service dealing confidently and effectively with any legal issue that may affect its clients.  Accordingly we have developed a department devoted to the practice of criminal law.

We accept work both on a legal aid and privately funded basis and support both the court based and police station based Duty Advocate schemes.

Work undertaken by this department includes:

• Defence work – From representation at the police station through advice on pleas and representation at court, and dealing with appeals, and from minor matters in the Magistrate’s Courts to jury trials of serious, crime Callin Wild has extensive expertise.  Callin Wild has a well-regarded criminal defence practice.
• Motoring offences – Through experience Callin Wild has developed a particularly high level of expertise in dealing with vehicle related crime.
• Corporate defence and compliance – In a world of increasingly tight regulation and expanding liability corporate entities and their controllers are susceptible to prosecution for many matters.  Callin Wild’s experience in all manner of compliance issues and related prosecutions means we have the expertise to help.  As well as defending prosecutions we can also offer compliance audits and advice on best practice to ensure our clients stay on the right side of the law.
• Prosecution – As well as undertaking defence work Callin Wild has developed expertise in bringing prosecutions on behalf of agencies other than the police, such as local authorities.  We are therefore well placed to take criminal proceedings on behalf of regulatory, local government or other bodies charged with the task of prosecuting crimes.
