Kevin Goldie

Advocate - Kevin has a wide client base but works principally in the field of Litigation.
Kevin was called to the Manx Bar in 2000 and undertakes a wide variety of work in his very diverse practice.
Kevin's principal area of work is in the field of Civil litigation.
Kevin undertakes a significant amount of personal injury work both for claimants and for defendants and their insurers, including dealing with a number of very high value claims.
Kevin also has considerable experience in litigation dealing with other issues including:
Mental health - receivership etc.;
Contentious estates (challenging and defending wills, protecting charitable beneficiaries etc.);
Contentious property (boundary disputes, landlord/ tenant matters, challenging covenants etc.);
Business operation disputes (quasi-partnership disputes, business termination etc.);
Personal injury claims (both claimant and defendant work)
In respect of commercial law, before training as an Advocate Kevin obtained a Masters degree for his studies of comparative anti-money laundering legislation and has advised a number of institutions on compliance issues and been involved in high value corporate transactions in respect of due diligence.
White-collar crime:
Kevin has considerable experience of corporate and regulatory criminal defence work, and contentious issues arising out of other statutory obligations. Kevin also supervises the criminal department and has a breadth of experience within the field of criminal law.
